Integrated Math 1
Course Syllabus
Mrs. Haar ● Stevens High School ● 2018/2019
Welcome
Welcome to the start of a new school year! This year you will be taking the first of a series of three math courses designed to prepare you for success in college, in careers, and in daily life. This course will challenge you to work with your classmates to make sense of mathematical concepts by investigating real-life scenarios. At times you will feel confused as you struggle to understand new concepts, and we will all make plenty of mistakes. These struggles and mistakes are necessary parts of authentic learning. To be successful in this course you will need to participate actively in class, stay current with your homework, and be diligent in your preparation for tests. Please come see me if you have concerns about the class. I am looking forward to working with you this year.
