Precalculus
Course Syllabus
Mrs. Haar ● Stevens High School ● 2019/2020
Welcome
Welcome to the start of a new school year! This year you will be taking your first elective math course at Stevens. This course is designed to prepare you for college-level Calculus. We will build on the math skills you have developed in Math 1 through 3 and add to them. The mathematical topics covered will be more advanced and the expectations for out-of-class preparation will be higher than you experienced in prior courses. To be successful you will need to participate actively in class, stay current with your homework, and be diligent in your preparation for tests. Please come see me if you have concerns about the class. I am looking forward to working with you this year.
Expectations
· Come to class on time and prepared to learn (with supplies, completed homework, and good attitude).
· Participate actively during class discussions and group activities.
· Be respectful of your classmates, your teacher, your school, and the learning process.
